How JasperX works

The shape of the system

Two parts. JasperNode runs at the edge: it owns the tags, executes the logic, talks to the field devices, and keeps working with no cloud connection at all. JasperX is the cloud: the browser workspace, the AI, your fleet in one view, and the history of every change ever made.

Neither trusts the other's availability. The node runs the plant. The cloud runs the product.

The AI

Available now

The AI does the authoring: tags, scripts, connectors. It explains what it changed and why. It is not an autocomplete bolted onto a code editor; it works with the same objects you do, through the same audited interfaces.

Ask-mode is the read-only version: it explains logic it didn't write, helps diagnose faults, and answers questions about the live system without the ability to change anything.

The deploy gate

Available now

The AI authors freely. Deploying is different. Changes that can affect the field require a human to read them and approve them. The gate knows the difference between a development bench, commissioning, and a production system, and tightens accordingly.

Every change, human or AI, lands in the audit trail: who, when, how, and for AI changes, exactly which model and which conversation produced it.

Remote access

Available now

When a node is online, its local web services, the HMI for instance, are reachable from your browser through JasperX. No VPN, no port forwarding, no inbound firewall rules, nothing exposed on the plant network. The node makes one outbound connection and everything rides on it. Every remote session is authenticated against your JasperX login and recorded in the audit trail.

The cloud workspace

In development

Organisations, projects, and programs with full revision history; edit a program with the node offline, or before the node exists, and reconcile when it comes back. Fleet overview across every site. This is the platform layer being built now, and it's what early access participants shape.

Virtual nodes

In development

A stock JasperNode running in the cloud with no field hardware: build and test before the panel exists, run simulations, train someone without risk. The same runtime, not a simulation of it.

Alarms and notifications

In development

Arm conditions on tags, connector faults, or a node going offline; get email, SMS, or push, with acknowledgement tracking. Detection happens on the node, so it works even when the cloud is unreachable.
